Egypt repaid $7bn to Qatar

Egypt has paid around 7 billion dollars to Qatar, said an official at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Friday.
The total sum had been given to Egypt in the form of grants and bank deposits during the era of former president Mohamed Morsi, the official told MENA.
The payments included the interest rates on the funds, noted the official.
Cairo has never missed a deadline of payments to foreign bodies, the official said.
