Egyptian and Sudanese agriculture ministers Salah Helal and Ibrahim Adam, respectively, signed the minutes of the general assembly meetings of the Egyptian-Sudanese Agricultural Integration Company.
The two-day meetings, which concluded today in Cairo, tackled activating the company's role in promoting cooperation in the agricultural, animal production and agricultural manufacturing fields.
The minutes included the decisions taken by the general assembly, including extending the company's rent contract for lands in the Blue Nile state capital of Ad Damazin in Sudan for thirty years with a performance assessment conducted every five years.
The meetings also set the rent value for the company and agreed to include the Egyptian and Sudanese irrigation ministers in the company's general assembly membership.
They also agreed to the possibility of engaging partners from the private and public sectors.
The company was established 40 years ago when late Egyptian and Sudanese presidents Anwar Sadat and Gaafar Nimeiry signed an integration agreement, under which the company was created.
The company's last board meeting was held in 2007 until it convened in Khartoum in April this year.
