
The projects carried out by the Armed Forces are part of the army’s policy to support the civil sector and the state infrastructure, President of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Emad el Alfy said.
The Armed Forces are contributing to 1,406 projects, among them 612 completed ones, including national projects such as the new Suez Canal lane, Alfy said.
The authority is also participating in a national road project, covering 19 roads, 30 bridges and 11 tunnels, he said.
Other projects include the one-million-feddan reclamation project and developing airports for both civil and military uses, he said.
