Finance Minister Hany Qadry inaugurated the 20th session of the Euromoney Egypt Conference Monday.
Egypt is looking forward to achieving more economic growth, especially in light of the important economic events that took place in the country, such as the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) in mid March and the inauguration of the New Suez Canal on August 6, Qadry said in an inaugural speech.
Those and other events served as platforms to review investment opportunities in Egypt, Qadry told the conference.
Themed "Financing the Future", the conference will focus on funding alternatives in Egypt, whether through foreign direct investments, government debt tools, loans or through involving the private sector.
A workshop will also be held as part of the conference to discuss ways to bankroll projects to be implemented along the Suez Canal Corridor and in industrial zones that should be established on both sides of the waterway.
Attending the conference are a number of financial and investment experts from Egypt and the world.
The conference will wrap up work Tuesday.
