Minister of Industry and Trade Tareq Qabeel decided to reform the Egyptian side to the Egyptian-Tunisian Business Council under the chairmanship of Engineer Mohammad Fathi, board chairman of Unionaire Company in Egypt.
The minister's decision stipulated that the council's term is three years and it should present half-yearly periodical reports to the minister about the activities of the council and proposals for any future plans to develop relations between the two countries.
In statements on Sunday, the minister said the new formation of the council would play a role in developing bilateral trade, encourage the Tunisian private sector to set up joint projects with the Egyptian side in the various sectors as well as motivate trade with Arab and African countries.
