
Egypt's non-petroleum exports declined from the beginning of this year until May to reach 8 billion dollars compared to 10 billion dollars during the same period of last year.
Egypt’s non-petroleum exports reached 1.7 billion dollars in May compared to 2.1 dollars in the same period of last year.
The report, issued by the General Organization for Exports, Imports and Control, attributed the decline to the decrease in the exports of the exporting councils in general.
The report further said that exports of petrochemicals and fertilizers declined by about 44 percent to reach 233 million dollars compared to 419 million dollars in the same period of last year.
