Egypt's wage bill hits EGP125bn in 8 months

The Finance Ministry said Thursday that the bill of wages and compensations of the state's civil servants increased during the period from July 2014 to February 2015 by EGP 17 billion to EGP 125.2 billion.
The figure is compared to 108.2 billion in the same period of the previous year.
The hike is attributed to the increase in bonuses during this period, the ministry said.
