
Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has moved its office in Yemen from Sana'a to Aden in the wake of restoration of stability to the city.
The ERC dispatched more qualified Emirati and Yemeni cadres to implement the humanitarian work and programmes. It has also boosted the logistics to operate effectively in Yemen.
It said in a statement that "The ERC operates in Yemen upon the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, to deliver much-needed humanitarian aid to Yemen."
Led by the Hassan Al Jesmi, ERC's Director in Yemen, the delegation arrived in Aden to assess and distribute the aid shipment pouring into Yemen from land, sea and air.
