
Transport Minister Galal Saeed said that bids for investment in river bus with Build–operate–transfer (BOT) will be offered as soon as possible with a view to attracting international companies operating similar advanced BOT systems in developed countries.
Saed added that the transport sector has submitted studies on the river buses sector.
The minister made the statements during a workshop about the draft of strategic vision on transport sector in Egypt that was held here on Monday in the presence of transport leaders and representatives of the World Bank.
Economic and social sides of the transport sector have been discussed during the workshop.
Assessing the current situation of sector besides reviewing the the safety and security system were discussed during the workshop as well.
