
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi and visiting Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Molla discussed means of ways of boosting bilateral ties in the fields of industry, oil and natural gas in addition to establishing an Egyptian-Iraqi partnership.
Egypt’s Ambassador to Iraq Ahmed Darwish and el Molla's accompanying delegation attended the meeting held in Baghdad on Saturday.
The Iraqi premier stressed the importance of fostering cooperation between Egypt, Iraq and regional states.
For his part, the Egyptian minister congratulated the Iraqi prime minister on the victories achieved by Iraqi army forces against Daesh militants, saying that Egypt supports Iraq.
El Molla arrived here on Saturday evening coming from Jordan's capital, Amman, for talks with his Iraqi counterpart.
