Iraq's Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari on Monday met with Italian Ambassador in Baghdad Marco Carnelos.
The meeting dealt with ways to settle naval armament contracts between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed strengthening bilateral relations along with economic and financial issues of common concern.
Zebari also met Monday with Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Iraqi House of Representatives Hassan Chuird Hamdani on recent political, security and economic developments in the country and concerting effort to support the Iraqi government to resolve crisis arising from incursion by Turkish military forces in Mosul.
