The Israeli authorities will be issuing 8,000 new permits for Palestinians to work in the construction sector inside Israel.
The decision will contribute to solving a housing problem in Israel, Israeli media outlets said, noting that the 8,000 new workers will join another 45,000 who are already working inside Israel.
As many as 20,000 foreigners will also be allowed into Israel to work in the construction field.
A committee of ministries concerned will be formed to provide recommendations to change the distribution of Palestinian workers within 90 days to make sure all workers are in action.
