
Jordan budget deficit stood at JOD174.1 million during the first quarter of 2016 compared to a surplus of JOD78.7 million during the same period of 2015.
Excluding foreign grants, the budget deficit amounted to JOD304.5 million compared to a deficit of JOD125.9 million during same period of 2015.
Total revenues and grants amounted to JOD1.592 billion during first quarter of 2016 compared to JOD1.668 billion during same period of 2015, reflecting a decrease of JOD75.8 million or 4.5 per cent.
Foreign grants amounted to JOD130.4 million during first quarter of 2016 compared to JOD204.6 million during same period of 2015. Domestic revenues amounted to JOD1.462 billion during first quarter of 2016 compared to JOD1.464 billion at the same period of 2015, reflecting a decline by JOD1.6 million or 0.1 per cent.
This decrease in domestic revenues was an outcome of a decrease in "other revenues" by JOD32.9 million, and an increase in "tax revenues" by JOD31 million.
