The Secretary General of the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) Fawzi Al- Majdali on Tuesday stressed the necessity of guaranteeing integrated data on state cash subsidy to a void a host of negative aspects, with dual subsidy on top.
He referred to the lack of coordination among a host of laws and systems, which could result in a potential dual subsidy, which granted many citizens support they do not deserve, overloading the state treasury.
Electronic connection among the state bodies offering cash subsidy, through the Central Agency for Information Technology, is likely to guarantee the provision of integrated data on the issue, Al- Majdali said in a press statement.
He lauded in that respect the approval of the Cabinet of MGRP demand on the connection of the subsidy provider bodies. The Cabinet entrusted the Program with taking the necessary measures to achieve it.
This will help provide data on the state subsidy offered to citizens, and consequently leading to rationalization of this subsidy as well as improving the relevant legislations in the future, he noted.
One other advantage is to streamline the job of the state control bodies (State Audit Bureau), in addition to facilitating the recovery of state debts due on individuals who receive the subsidy.
