
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab gave directions to swiftly form a ministerial committee under Minister of Local Development Adel Labib to follow up preparations for the investment conference in Upper Egypt as it is a very important event given its role in real development.
The committee will include Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman and Minister of Trade and Industry Monir Fakhry Abdel Nour in addition to officials and ministers concerned.
This came Monday during Mahlab’s meeting to discuss the preparation for the event.
During the meeting, Salman presented steps taken by the ministry to organize the conference, adding that the event will be held in Hurghada.
Salman said that governors of the ten governorates of Upper Egypt and the Red Sea were invited to attend the conference that will be held on September 11-12.
He also said that a study is underway to announce a number of free zones in Upper Egypt during the event to attract more local and foreign investments that will help providing job opportunities for youth and creating economic and social development in these zones.
