An element of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) was arrested Sunday in Menofiya for trading in foreign currency along with another MB supporter, who is still at large.
Security forces searched the houses of the two MB members and found a huge amount of foreign currency there, an Interior Ministry official said.
The pair, identified as Abdel Naser Meghawri and Yasser Mohamed, sought to undermine Egypt's economy, the official added.
Efforts are underway to arrest the MB fugitive, he said, adding that all legal procedures were taken and the public prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
