
The ministerial economic committee on Monday agreed to set up a company for establishing technological zones.
In its meeting under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, the committee reviewed the proposed zones, the feasibility studies of the project and drafting a general strategy for the work of these zones.
It also reviewed the economic indications, steps to start establishing the zones and ways of optimally benefiting from the project.
The company is aimed at planning, designing, carrying out and establishing technological buildings and zones specialized in the field of communications and information technology.
It is also aimed at managing, operating, maintaining and developing the technological zones and providing the required logistics services as well as luring domestic, regional and international investments to the zones.
