The Ambassador of Morocco to the Kingdom of Bahrain Ahmed Rasheed Khattab invited Bahraini businessmen and economic activists to participate in the Fifth Entrepreneurship Summit in Marrakesh on November 20-21.
He also invited them to Fourth GCC-Moroccan Investment Forum/Exhibition in Casablanca on November 28-29 .
The ambassador who was talking to Al-Ayam newspaper emphasized the importance of activation of commercial and investment cooperation between Bahrain and Morocco in all the various sectors and fields.
The volume of bilateral trade exchange has reached $ 102 million according to latest statistics on foreign trade at the Central Informatics Organisation (CIO).
The ambassador pointed out that the volume of trade between Morocco and GCC countries witnessed remarkable growth in the past ten years, reaching 235 percent between 2003-2013.
Morocco's imports from GCC countries was mainly oil at 65.5%. GCC countries ranked fourth in the list of exporters to Morocco after Spain, France and America. They also ranked 23rd in the list of countries which import from Morocco according to 2013 statistics.
