President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree on Sunday approving an agreement signed on February 20 to finance a sustainable agricultural investment project between the government and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The project, according to the official gazette, targets raising the standard of living for 40,000 rural families and 280,000 persons in areas determined by the government for resettlement and rehabilitation in various parts of the country.
The project focuses on junior farmers and graduates who moved to the newly reclaimed lands to reduce the poverty level and boost food security.
