
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail gave directives on Thursday that an Egyptian governmental delegation to visit Somalia soon to finalize studies on proposed cooperation projects, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qashawi said.
During a meeting on Thursday with visiting Somali Industry Minister Abdirashid Mohamed, Ismail added that Egypt would proceed with establishing an Egyptian commercial center in Somalia.
He stressed keenness on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various domains for the best interest of both nations.
The premier said the Egyptian government is adamant to offer all needed support for Somali associations and contribute to honing technical skills of Somali cadres.
He underscored the importance of bolstering cooperation between commerce and industry chambers of both sides.
The Somali minister said his country highly appreciates Egypt's support in several development projects, held within the framework of rebuilding Somalia.
He noted that several cooperation deals were signed during his current visit to Egypt.
