River harbor at Damietta port operated

Chairman of Damietta Port Authority Ayman Saleh Ibrahim said on Thursday that the river harbor at Damietta port was operated to carry commodities to Cairo and Aswan via the Nile River.
Saleh said the port has received six barges since Wednesday.
The decision to operate the harbor aims at relieving the burden on Egypt's road network, he added.
