Saudi Prince Saif Al-Islam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz and Egyptian Ambassador in Riyadh Naser Hamdy opened on Friday the first forum for travel agencies that runs for two days in Saudi Arabia.
The forum, organized by the Middle East Group, is the first of its kind held under the auspices of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA).
In his opening speech, Prince Said Al-Islam stressed the importance of crystallizing a unified definition for tourism and travel in the region and exerting more efforts to use the regional resources.
Egypt's diplomat highlighted strong strategic relations linking Egypt and Saudi Arabia saying the two countries have joint projects in the field of tourism.
Hamdy pointed out that a memorandum of understanding was signed by the two sides to boost investment in the tourism industry.
