
Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) received a delegation from Sharjah Documentation and Research centre headed by Salah Al Mahmoud, Director of the centre.
The visit comes in order to stress on the continuous success of the government archive programme which was launched by the centre in collaboration with the various departments and entities in Sharjah to save the archives and different documents at the Document Secretarial Management Department at the centre .
The Document Secretarial Management Department receives documents and save them according to the applicable regulations and international standards.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, welcomed the delegation and emphasised on the importance of strengthening the cooperation between all the government entities in a way that supports all the sectors and contribute to attaining SEDD’s strategic objectives as well as Sharjah’s vision.
Al Suwaidi also pointed out that SEDD is concerned about exchanging expertise and experiences that will help in improving its performance. He added that such a visit comes within SEDD’s concerns to coordinate with the centre to prepare an upgraded system for managing the public documents.
The delegation visited the new Central Archive Section opened by the SEDD Chairman and Director of the centre . The guests were briefed on the work procedures.
The two parties agreed on the importance of promotion, coordination and collaboration between the two sides as well as discussing the possibility of implementing the mutual projects.
At the end of the tour, the SEDD Chairman expressed his gratitude and thanks to the Documentation and Research centre ’s delegation.
