Senior Adviser to the US Secretary of State David Thorne will lead an American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) delegation to Egypt on Sunday.
The delegation, which groups representatives of the Export-Import Bank and US giant companies, is the biggest to visit Egypt, according to a statement by the State Department.
This reflects big investment opportunities in the country.
The delegates will remain in Egypt for three days, during which they will hold talks with senior government officials on business opportunities in Egypt.
