
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave directives to build a pedestrian bridge on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road to offer safety for the residents and school students when they cross the road.
El Sisi got a message on his e-mail from Yasser Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, who lives in Kilo 63 on Cairo-Alexandria desert road, appealing to him to construct a pedestrian bridge, according to the presidential media office.
The president referred the request to the Defense Ministry which studied the matter, while the Armed Forces Engineering Authority determined that the bridge will cost five million pounds.
The National Company for the Establishment, Development and Management of Roads approved of implementing the venture at its expense
