President Abdel Fattah El Sisi welcomed Arab investments, especially those of the UAE, to back comprehensive development in Egypt.
During a meeting Tuesday with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed al Nahyan, Sisi expressed greetings and appreciation to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan.
Sisi lauded the UAE's support for Egypt and its unwavering support to the Egyptian economy, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
Sisi also reviewed a number of promising opportunities and the investment projects which will be presented as part of the Suez Canal Axis Development Project, added the spokesman.
He also said that Egypt welcomes the Arab direct investments, including the UAE investments, said the spokesman.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi conveyed the greetings of the UAE president to Sisi and wished Egypt more progress and prosperity, said the spokesman
He also underlined the UAE's support to Egypt and its people's right to development, stability and growth.
Egypt is a pillar of stability and a safety valve in the Middle East, given its strategic and security weight in the region, a move, he said, "doubles the importance of backing it at this defining moment."
The UAE is keen on participating in supporting Egypt's economy, he affirmed.
The meeting also tackled relations between the two countries in various political, economic and developmental fields.
They also exchanged views on ways to strengthen them to reach new horizons of greater cooperation and strategic coordination between the two countries in the best interest of both countries and peoples, especially in light of the unfolding events in the region, which require concerted efforts to build an effective and capable Arab strategy to address various challenges, particularly those related to counter-terrorism and extremism.
The two countries shared identical viewpoints toward the various regional and international issues of mutual interest, said the spokesman.
The two sides also called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and contribute to finding peaceful solutions to the conflicts which are taking place in a number of regional countries.
