Sudanese Trade Minister Salah Mohamed Hasan probed with Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan Osama Shaltout means of promoting trade and investment cooperation.
The meeting took up means of removing trade obstacles between the two countries after the opening the border crossing of Qastal-Ashkit, Shaltout told MENA.
The Arjeen border crossing, meanwhile, is expected to be open in the first quarter of 2016, he said.
The road will extend from Egypt's Alexandria to South Africa's Cape Town.
Shaltout said they also discussed preparations for meetings of the Egyptian-Sudanese presidential committee, which is scheduled to convene soon.
