
Suez Canal Authority Chairman Mohab Mamish announced on Monday that the Canal waterway will receive on Wednesday the largest environment-friendly container vessel.
In statements on Monday, Mamish said the ship crossing of the Canal asserted the new Suez Canal project committed to environment standards necessary to reducing pollution where the crossing timing had been cut to 11 hours only, the matter which reduces pollution.
He said the new crossing tolls will be announced soon, adding the inauguration of the side Canal in Port Said will take place in February.
On the fishing farm project near the Suez Canal, he said the project is part of the Suez development project, adding nearly 600 fish hatcheries will be established.
He also said the technology valley near the Canal will be part of the Canal general economic zones.
