
Minister of Trade and Industry Monir Fakhry Abdel Nor met on Wednesday with new Egyptian ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Ati.
They discussed trade relations between Egypt and Germany and means to double the volume of trade in the coming stage and benefit from Germany's expertise in the field of industry.
Thy also discussed Egypt's participation in the German fairs as Germany is the biggest host of fairs worldwide.
They shed light on the Egyptian-German businessmen council meeting in Berlin and the good preparation for it following the recent visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Germany.
The minister also discussed with Abdel Ati the importance of the New Suez Canal project which would provide investment opportunities for the German side.
The volume of trade between Egypt and Germany amounts to 5 billion dollars.
