
The UAE's Human Appeal International (HAI) gave US$260,000 to local societies in the last four months to help 1600 Palestinian orphans in the City of Tulkarem, West Bank.
Ibrahim Rashid, Director of the HAI's office in West Bank, said this assistance is part of the charity's orphan sponsorship programme in the West Bank.
Recently, Al Rashid added, the HAI also handed over US$20,000 to the Central Zakat Committee of Hebron City to help 144 orphans.
The HAI sponsors more than 22,0000 Palestinian orphans of whom 2900 are in Hebron.
