Thirty-seven ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday with a total cargo of 2.2 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 23 vessels carrying 1.1 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 14 ships carrying 1.1 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
