Forty two ships transited the Suez Canal on Sunday, with a total cargo load of about 2.6 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 18 vessels carrying 1.1 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 24 ships carrying 1.5 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
