On the sidelines of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa\'s current official visit to Thailand, a Bahraini-Thai Forum was held here, in the presence of the Thai Deputy Premier and Finance Minister Mr. Kittiratt Na Ranong, along with the Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Adviser to HM the King for Media Affairs Nabeel bin Yaqoob Al Hamar, Adviser to HM the King for Diplomatic Affairs Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar, a great number of businessmen, businesswomen and investors representing private sector companies in both kingdoms and representatives of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce (BCCI) and the Joint Bahraini-Thai Business Council.During the meeting, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce Mr. Isara Vongkusolkit delivered a welcoming statement.Then, the Bahrain Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro addressed the meeting and stressed the importance of bilateral friendly relations, highlighting the role of cooperation agreements signed over the past years.He affirmed the importance of such meetings in creating new joint cooperation opportunities between the private sector in both countries, such as food security, training, cooperation in the health, tourism and therapeutic tourism and taking optimum advantage of natural resources.He concluded his statement by thanking his Thai counterpart for his hospitality and role in holding such a meeting on the sidelines of HM the king\'s official visit to Thailand, expressing hope that the function will enhance trade, industrial and investment cooperation.Then, Chairman of the Association of Thai Industries and the Chairman of BCCI Dr. Issam Abdulla Fakhro delivered statements.After that, Thai Deputy Premier and Finance Minister Mr. Kittiratt Na Ranong made a statement in which he affirmed the solidity of the Bahraini-Thai relations, adding that his country welcomes bolstering joint cooperation with Bahrain in all fields, especially in light of the support of the political leaderships in both countries.During the event, three agreements were signed. The first was signed between the Bahrain-based Thai-Bahraini Trade Centre and the Bangkok-based Thai-Bahrain Trade Centre Company (under construction) on food security, agriculture, health, therapeutics, tourism and building materials.The second was signed between the Bahrain-Thai Trade Centre Company and the Thailand-based Saha Farms Co Ltd on investment in the field of poultry.Concerning the third, signed between BCCI and Gem & Jewelry Institute of Thailand to enhance cooperation in the field of gold and jewelry trade.The meeting featured video presentations on Kingdom of Bahrain\'s investment atmosphere, economic infrastructure, and investment opportunities in various fields.The Thai side also staged similar video presentations.At the end of the event, businessmen and businesswomen from the two kingdoms held joint meetings in which they discussed cooperation and investment opportunities in all fields.
