
The minister of agriculture of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) was arrested on Wednesday over tax evasion.
Jerko Ivankovic Lijanovic was detained together with his brother Mladen Ivankovic Lijanovic, a member of state parliament, according to State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
They were arrested during a coordinated crackdown in several cities on tax evasion crimes, participated by several hundred officers from SIPA as well as members of Indirect Taxation Authorities.
Mladen Ivankovic Lijanovic is founder and President of People's Party Work for Benefit, while his brother Jerko is the Co-president. The family owns a company of meat products.
BiH is consisted of two entities, FBiH dominated by Bosniaks and Croats, and Republika Srpska (RS) dominated by Serbs.
