Undersecretary of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) Tariq Tawfiq said on Friday that Austrian investors are keen to pump investments into Egypt and the Middle East during the coming period.
In a statement issued by the federation, Tawfiq said that Austria's presidency of the European Economic Community as of next month will help increase European investments into Egypt.
The FEI delegation, now visiting Austria, briefed Austrian investors on the Egyptian government's plans of economic reforms, Tawfiq said.
He added that a group of Austrian businessmen will take part in Egypt's economic conference, slated for March.
