
Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met a delegation from the German Deutsche International Bank, led by the Group's Vice Chairman Luc Frieden.
The minister stressed the huge support provided by the Kingdom's government to financial and banking institutions and keenness on providing all necessary factors for development of these institutions and expansion of their activities. He praised the role of the Deutsche Bank as one of the leading names in the financial and banking services sector in the world.
Luc Frieden was the Luxembourg’s Grand Duchy’s finance minister from 2009 until last December. He also assumed communications and media, defence, justice and parliamentary relations portfolios. In 2013, he chaired the IMF and World Bank’s board of governors.
