
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)'s CEO Ausamah bin Abdullah Al Absi on Sunday received the Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mani Prasad Bhattarai
The meeting explored the situation of Nepalese workers in the Kingdom and vistas of cooperation between the LMRA and the Nepalese Ministry of Labour regarding work permits and increasing the awareness of Nepalese workers regarding labour market regulations, legal status, rights and duties.
The Nepalese Ambassador scruitnized the LMRA's work procedures and expatriate management system (EMS). He praised the LMRA's efforts and the welfare provided to Nepalese workers in the Kingdom affirming official Nepalese appreciation of these efforts.
He also praised the LMRA's new regulations, pointing out that facilitations such as the provision of e-applications and capable expatriate workforce management as well as ensuring the rights of workers and employers, also expressed admiration of the LMRA's accomplishments of regulating foreign manpower.
The meeting was attended by the Nepalese Embassy's Labour Advisor Bishoraj Neupane and several LMRA officials.
