Belgium is keen to invest in Egypt, Belgian Ambassador here Gilles Heyvaert said.
Cairo and Brussels are coordinating stances to settle international issues of mutual concern such as terrorism and illegal migration, Heyvaert told MENA on the sidelines of a gallery he held to honor Belgian photojournalists, who have been covering events in Egypt over the past five years.
Belgium is the third largest foreign investor in Egypt and two large Belgian companies are working in the New Suez Canal project, he said.
He said an Egyptian business mission comprising 25 businesspersons of different sectors had visited Belgium in the past few days and met with Belgian executive directors to open new joint markets and seek investment opportunities.
