The China-Arab States Expo 2015 kicked off in Ningxia, China on Thursday.
As part of its "One Belt, One Road" strategy, China is planning to closely cooperate at all levels with countries along the Silk Road economic belt and the Maritime Silk Road, with the goal of engaging in joint discussions, joint development projects, the promotion of orderly and unhindered economic exchanges and trade, the effective allocation of resources and a deeper integration of markets.
Egypt will take part in several forums and proceedings which will be held during the exhibition.
Egypt's Scientific Research Minister Sherif Hammad arrived along with his accompanying delegation in China on a five-day visit to attend proceedings of the China-Arab States Expo.
Jordanian King Abdullah II, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and other foreign leaders attended the opening ceremony.
Government officials and corporate executives will share ideas and explore cooperation during the four-day event.
The biennial expo is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the government of Ningxia.
