
Vladimir Vujtek, the coach of Czech ice hockey national team, has nominated 27 players on Tuesday for the 2016 World Ice Hockey Championship to be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg on May 6-22.
The broader roster includes three world champions from 2010, forwards Roman Cervenka, Lukas Kaspar and Petr Koukal, four NHL players, defender Michal Jordan and forwards Tomas Plekanec, David Pastrnak and Jiri Sekac, 12 from KHL, one playing in Sweden and 10 in the Czech Elite League.
Czech Republic will play its first championship game against Russia on Friday.
