Davos - MENA
The 45th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum kicks off in Davos Wednesday in Switzerland, with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi taking part.
More than 40 heads of state and government will also be present at the four-day event, as well as 2,500 prominent figures and representatives of international organizations.
Themed "The New Global Context”, the forum aims to bring together leaders from all walks of life to make sense of the drivers and trends reshaping the world, and to share insights and innovations that will help navigate the future.
Delegates will also be discussing economic growth, social inclusion and climate change concerns.
President Sisi will be speaking in a session dedicated to finding solutions to world crises.
The session will focus on ways to solve conflicts that undermine stability in Ukraine, the Middle East and other parts of the world.
Participants will also discuss the role that should be played by the world community to achieve permanent peace in areas of conflict.

Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations.
