Egyptian Ambassador in Rome Amr Helmy underlined the importance of the visit that will be paid by the Italian economic development minister to Egypt so soon.
The minister will lead a delegation grouping Italian businessmen to probe investment opportunities in Egypt especially in the field of small and medium enterprises.
This comes in light of the flourishing relations between Egypt and Italy after discovering the new natural gas field by Eni, an Italian company.
These remarks came during the meeting held between Helmy and the Egyptian expatriates in Rome, according to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The get-together tackled the development of ties between the two countries as well as the importance of the parliamentary elections to be held as a last step of the road map.
