
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that the Egyptian exports to the world countries retreated from EGP 199.9 billion in 2013 to EGP 189.7 billion in 2014 with a decrease rate of 5.1 percent.
The Egyptian exports to the US decreased by 6.6 percent to reach EGP 8 billion during the last year which constitutes 4.2 percent of the total exports.
The CAPMAS underlined that the US came in the first position with EGP 4.9 billion in 2014 with 61.3 percent of the total exports.
The exports recorded 8 percent decrease rate compared to 2013.
The Egyptian imports from the world countries increased to record 504.8 billion pounds in 2014 compared to 456 billion pounds in 2013 with an increase rate of 10.7 percent.
The Egyptian imports from the US reached 36.8 billion pounds which constitute 7.3 percent of the total imports.
