The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) on Thursday concluded a power purchase agreement with ELF and Infinity companies.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Egyptian Electricity Holding company Gaber Desouky met with a number of representatives of companies operating in the field of renewable energy and the establishment of solar power plants to generate electricity.
The meeting comes as part of the Electricity Ministry’s efforts to strengthen the role of the private sector and attract investment in renewable energy.
The companies are qualified to establish solar power stations in Benban in Aswan, based on the feed-in tariff system and the controls of the first phase of the project.
