Egypt is considered a partner state for Germany in development cooperation field, head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy in Egypt Sebastian Lesch told reporters on Thursday.
He pointed out that Berlin has decided to support Egypt with 102.5 million euros last December as well as another 24 million euros for technical education promotion and 30 million euros for solar panels projects.
This comes after intensive talks between the two countries on the priorities; energy, water, administration reform, urban development and employment.
He also added that the volume of development cooperation between the two countries had reached 1.3 billion euros that included different sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, solid waste treatment, water and sanitation as well as the development of Assiut dam.
He also said that Germany supports small and medium-sized enterprises through loans that reach 50 million euros within Berlin's efforts to provide more job opportunities for Egyptians.
