
Egypt and Japan discussed on Wednesday boosting cooperation and future projects between the two countries, especially increasing the energy capacity of three power distribution companies in three Egyptian governorates.
Talks also tackled preparations for Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's projected visit to Japan.
This came during International Cooperation Minister Sahr Nasr's meeting with Japanese Ambassador here Takehiro Kagawa.
The two sides discussed the project of generating power through photovoltaic cells to be carried out and in Hurghada and financed by the Japanese government in addition to developing Borg el Arab airport to be the first environment-friendly airport in the Middle East.
Nasr expressed Egypt's appreciation for the Japanese support of development fields in Egypt, especially energy, health, power and transport.
She hoped of more progress in the two countries' relations.
