
Egypt's Ambassador to Norway Mahy Hassan Abdel Latif has met with the chairman of the chamber of commerce in Oslo to post him on new mega projects the Egyptian government intends to carry out in the coming stage.
A Foreign Ministry statement said Wednesday the meeting comes as part of efforts by the Egyptian Embassy in Oslo to activate economic relations between Egypt and Norway.
During the meeting, Abdel Latif touched upon a bunch of new measures and policies adopted by the Egyptian government with the aim to encourage and support investment in Egypt.
Those measures and policies should help create an investment-friendly climate, the diplomat told the chairman of the chamber of commerce.
The Norwegian official said his country is interested in oil and gas projects, as well as fish farms,maritime transport and renewable energy.
He said he is optimistic about the possibility of boosting economic ties with Cairo.
The two sides also discussed an idea to establish a joint business council.
