
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left here Sunday heading for New York to attend the 70th Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 70) which started Tuesday.
He will also prepare for the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who lead Egypt's delegation to the UNGA session.
Shoukry is to participate in a number of important ministerial meetings including the meeting of Arab foreign ministers, a senior meeting hosted by the UN secretary general on Somalia, Afro-Arab Troika gathering, a meeting of foreign ministers of the G-77 and China and a meeting of aid supplies committee for the Palestinians.
An open discussion will be held on the latest developments on combating terror in the Middle East.
The sessions of the discussion of the UNGA will start on September 28 and run until October 5.
