EU no comment on OPEC decision

The EU Friday declined to make any comment on the decision by OPEC yesterday in Vienna to maintain its current level of oil production.
"We do not have a specific comment on OPEC," chief spokesman for the European Commission Margiritis Schinas told a news conference in reply to a question on the issue.
"But we wish to reiterate the importance of the energy union (within the EU) which is one of the central priorities of the Juncker Commission," he added.
Jean-Claude Juncker is the President of the EU's executive body.
