A Chinese company from Gansu Province on Friday launched the ground breaking ceremony of its investment project at the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park, the first manufacturing facility in the park.
Liu Weiping, governor of the northwest province, said the Industrial Park plays an important role in the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt project.
Juxin Malt Technology from Gansu, he added, would be the first to build an enterprise in the park. The company will build a new malt processing plant within a year. Using imported raw materials, its products will be exported to China and other countries.
"Belarus and China are reliable partners whose political cooperation has been steadily strengthening, whose economic contacts have been gradually expanding," said Liu Weiping.
The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park is being constructed in Smolevichi district, Minsk region. Belarus, which considers China as its strategic partner in Asia, estimates the whole project at 30 billion U.S. dollars.
